Khalid Al Khatri Finishes Fifth in Al Sharjah International Showjumping Championship

Khalid Al Khatri finished fifth in the Al Sharjah International Showjumping Championship (3 stars) which was organised by Al Sharjah Equestrian Club in collaboration with the UAE Equestrian Federation and under the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).

The event featured an elite pool of participants representing 25 Arab, western and European countries who competed for prizes totalling 171,9000 euros with the presence of 320 horses. Al Khatri’s display was outstanding, coming fifth in the 130m hurdle round following stiff competition.

Commenting after the event, he thanked HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) for the continued support towards all the athletes, stating that it embodies His Highness’ backing and interest in the showjumping sport.

Akbar Achieves Positive Results in Al Sharjah Showjumping Championship

Ahmed Akbar has achieved positive results in the Al Sharjah Showjumping Championship which was organised by Al Sharjah Equestrian Club in collaboration with the UAE Federation and under the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).

The event featured an elite pool of participants representing 25 countries who competed for prizes totally worth 171,9000 euros. Akbar managed to finish ninth and tenth in two separate participations.

Commenting on this, Akbar praised the Bahraini participation in the contest which featured strong competitions among the participants. He stated that the achieved positive results are the fruit of the support and interest of HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).

Al Rumaihi Dominates 7th Round with Three Titles

HE Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed A Khalifa, Deputy Head of the Showjumping Committee at Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) has crowned Mayoof Al Rumaihi of the Ministry of Interior team as the winner of the Grand Prize of the 7th round of the showjumping season which concluded on Friday, held in BDF Equestrian Centre, Sakhir.

HE Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khalifa underlined that the showjumping sport is witnessing tangible improvement thanks to the interest and care of the Board of Directors of BREEF under the chairmanship of HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, praising at the same time the huge efforts being exerted by the Organising Committee as well as the other involved committees.

It’s worth noting that HE Shaikh Abdullah crowned the winner in the presence of Ms. Huda Janahi, Owner of Horse Pride co. Al Rumaihi came first in the event which featured 140cm hurdles after posting a time of 63.64 seconds. Hussain Dadallah was second in 71.34 seconds, and Al Rumaihi finished third in 80.60 seconds.

Al Rumaihi was in a great form as he also won the third and fourth competitions for senior competitors. He grabbed first place in the third competition which included 110cm hurdles after clocking 37.17 seconds.

Abbas Yusuf finished second, and third place went to Grace Rodney. In the fourth competition, which featured 120cm hurdles, Al Rumaihi clocked 62.89 seconds to win first place, followed by Hamad Fakhrawi and Ahmed Al Hasheli.

Furthermore, Hussain Dadallah of the Ministry of Interior won the joker hurdle event.

Aljahromi Excels in the International Al Shira’aa Show Jumping Championship in Abu Dhabi

Bahraini rider Ahmed Aljahromi has recently participated in Al Shira’aa Showjumping Championship CSI2*, which is held within the International Al Shira’aa Horse Show 2022 in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of a large number of riders from different countries of the world.

Aljahromi managed to achieve good results in the Championship, as he won 9th place on the first day, while he showed a marvelous performance on the second day, on the which he achieved the fifth place after a strong and exciting competition with the other riders.

On the occasion, Aljahromi expressed thanks and appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), for His Highness’s endless support to Bahraini riders in their patriations abroad.

He stated that the President’s support is an incentive for riders to excel and shine in their participations and constantly strive to achieve the best places.

Aljahromi added that the International Al Shira’aa Horse Show is one of the major tournaments that witness wide participation and strong competition among all participants, indicating that he will always strive to achieve the best results in the upcoming participations.

Filly AA Victoria Wins Bronze Medal
Nasser and Khalid bin Hamad Congratulated by Isa bin Abdullah on Royal Team’s Accomplishment at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Horse Festival

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee have been congratulated by HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) on the bronze medal which was won by filly AA Victoria on the main day of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Horse Festival, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Present in the event was HRH Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

HH Shaikh Isa explained that this achievement is the fruit of the interest and support of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the Bahraini horse beauty sport which is now setting a great example in horse production, especially that the filly belongs to the Royal team of BREEF and is a Bahraini-produced horse.

HH Shaikh Isa also lauded A’ali stable and its owner Ali Abdullah Al A’ali for their role in this achievement, wishing the Bahraini participants the best of luck in their up-coming participation at Abu Dhabi International Horse Beauty Championship which will be held on February 10-13, 2022.

Meanwhile, Abdullah Al Mudahka, head of the Bahraini delegation which partook in the event, affirmed that this achievement embodies the support provided by HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to the Kingdom’s team.

It’s worth noting that AA Victoria came third in the 2-3yr old filly category, bringing home a cash prize worth 100,000 Saudi riyals following stiff competition.

HH Shaikh Nasser says keen to make gains with participation in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, followed in the presence of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for the Environment and Vice President of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, the Bahrain Royal Endurance team’s participation in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup which took place on Saturday in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia. The event covered 120km and was held under the theme “The Knights Cup”. It featured a broad pool of elite participants.

HH was present to support the Kingdom’s jockeys throughout the event, providing valuable instructions and directions. HH Shaikh Nasser underlined the Royal Endurance team is proud for participating in a prestigious event that enjoys the  Royal sponsorship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the King of Saudi Arabia and constant follow-up from HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister. He added that the event thanks to such support has elevated to a new height and has become one of the major global endurance competitions.

His Highness explained that the Kingdom’s participation through the Royal Endurance team has left a positive mark and the Bahraini jockeys have earned a great experience through developing a better understanding of the thick sand racecourse, especially that the team is gearing up for up-coming contests.

Moreover, HH Shaikh Nasser hailed the efforts made by the Organising Committee to make the event a huge success. It’s worth noting that the event showcased 200 participants representing 30 countries, including five from the Kingdom of Bahrain, namely Raed Mahmood, Abdulrahman Al Zayed, Othman Al Awadhi, Mohammed Abdul Samad and Isa Al Sendi. The Kingdom’s horses suffered various injuries that led to their failures in veterinary examinations. The event was won by Ferber Federico of Uruguay, followed by Rivero Andres (Uruguay) and Chazel Margot (France) respectively.

The Bahraini Participation

The events of the Bahraini participation through five jockeys unfolded as follows:

* Abdulrahman Al Zayed rode Chems Des Sauvlons and had occupied fifth place until the fourth stage. He pulled out the race after his horse suffered an injury.

* Othman Al Awadhi steered Nefertiti De Ka and led the first and second stages. He made a strong entry to the third round, but his horse also suffered an injury which led to his failure in the veterinary examination.

* Mohammed Abdul Samad Al Bastaki steered Adir Folie and successfully reached the third stage, but decided to withdraw the horse.

* Raed Mahmood rode Azaria D’ Ardic and his horse didn’t pass the veterinary examination after the second stage.

* Isa Jamal Al Sendi rode Safien and left the race after the conclusion of the first stage.

Hassan bin Rashid and Khalid Alkhateri shine in President of UAE Show Jumping Cup

A super all around tournament for our Bahraini show jumpers competing in the FEI CSI5* President of the UAE Show Jumping Cup 2022.

National team riders Sh Hassan bin Rashid Al Khalifa and Khalid Alkhatri led the way with a placing and 5 out of 6 clear rounds over the jumps in the CSI2* Grand Prix and Grand Prix Qualifiers of the Longines sponsored tournament. There were also solid rounds from Hamad Fakhrawi and Ahmed Akbar in the mini GP.

Shaikh Hassan thanked HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and Bahrain Royal Endurance and Equestrian the Federation (BREEF) for their continued support.

Shaikh Hassan who was placed in the CsI2* event added: ‘the show jumping sport is seeing a huge growth in Bahrain thanks to HH Shaikh Isa and BREEF. This gives us riders all the motivation to go in the ring and do our best for Bahrain. We hope to keep up the good performances throughout the season.

Shaikh Hassan congratulated all the Bahraini riders on their good performances and wished them well for the next show at CsI4* Al Shiraa in Abu Dhabi.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa Praised His Highness’ Continuous Support

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Instructs the Participation of Bahrain Royal team of BREEF in the Saudi and UAE Arabian Horse Beauty Championships

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), has directed the participation of the Bahrain Royal Arabian Horse Beauty team of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) in the upcoming foreign championships, most notably, in the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Horse Festival and the Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Beauty Championship. The latter event will be held from the 10th till the 13th of February, 2022, while the former competition will take place from the 27th till the 29th of January, 2022.

On this occasion, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of BREEF, affirmed that the unlimited support enjoyed by equestrian sports from HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has greatly contributed to the achievement of many accomplishments in various sports in the recent period. He added that His Highness’ interest in purebred Arabian horse sport has played a key role in the Kingdom’s successful participation in foreign events, stating that this vital success prompts the Federation to maintain its keenness in developing this traditional sport and asserts its position in foreign events.

In addition, HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa pointed out that the broad Bahraini participation in these championships confirms that the purebred Arabian horse beauty contests are continuing to develop and flourish. Moreover, HH Shaikh Isa expressed his appreciation for the outstanding efforts made by Bahraini stables in qualifying for the upcoming participations, wishing the team continued success that reflects the evolving image of this sport in the Kingdom.

For his part, Abdulla Al Mudahka, Head of the Bahraini Royal team delegation, expressed his great thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for their continuous support to the team locally and in foreign participations.

It’s worth noting that the Bahraini team will take part in both events with 6 horses from the Royal team, 4 from Al Shehab Stable, 4 from Al Nawader Stable, 2 from Al Naseem Stable, and one horse from Al Mudahka, A’ali, Al Qattan, Al Rowaie, Al Layal and Al Muhanna stables.

Mayoof Al Rumaihi Takes Home Grand Prize of 6th Showjumping Round

Mr Tawfiq Al Salehi, Director of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media Office and Information Centre Head of the PR and Media Committee at Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) has crowned Mayoof Al Rumaihi of the Ministry of Interior team as the winner of the Grand Prize race which took place as part of the 6th Showjumping Championship, held in Al Raffa, Sakhir.

Mr Al Salehi congratulated the top three winners of the main race of the event, praising the efforts exerted by the stables to achieve best results and top places. He stated that such efforts are contributing to the development of the showjumping sport in Bahrain. “The showjumping sport is witnessing tangible improvement in the Kingdom thanks to the support and backing of HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of BREEF,” he said, also valuing the endeavours of the Showjumping Committee at BREEF.

It’s worth noting that Al Rumaihi defeated his competitors in the 140cm-hurdle event, clocking 57.62 seconds, followed by Hussain Dadaallah who posted a time of 58.73 seconds. Both, the first place winner and the runner up committed eight faults each. Meanwhile, Al Rumaihi also occupied third place as he participated on two different horses.

He finished in 66.05 seconds in his second attempt. Mayoof Al Rumaihi jumped to victory also in the third competition for senior participants in the round. He completed it in 22.15 seconds, leaving second place to his brother Sultan, whose time was 23.82 seconds. Third place went to Abdullah Al Awadhi who crossed the finish line in 25.09 seconds. The event included 110cm hurdles.

In the fourth competition for seniors (120cm-hurdles), Ahmed Al Hasheli topped the podium, while Haytham Al Bastaki triumphed in the joker event which featured 130cm hurdles.
